REVELATION 13‬:â€8‬ â€NIV‬‬
“All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast—all whose names have not been written in the Lamb’s book of life, the Lamb who was slain from the creation of the world.”

Today, let’s survey the cross and for that matter Christ’s death from the viewpoint of eternity. We can’t begin to understand the cross until we see it in an eternal setting.
The crucifixion of Christ was not merely an earthly affair conducted in an obscure corner of Jerusalem. It spans all time and transcends all history. Ian Macpherson asserted that: “Before the cross was an act in time it was a fact in eternity.” The text that is before us today reveals that the Lamb was slain from the beginning of time.
It evident in Scripture that Calvary was predated in eternity. Jesus was the Lamb slain from the creation of the world. This presupposes that “There was a cross in the heart of God before there was ever one planted on the hill of Calvary.” God planned to save the world through Christ’s death long before the world was even created.
According to Peter: “… it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you [we] were redeemed, …. but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake (1 Peter‬ â€1‬:â€18‬-â€20‬ â€NIV‬‬).” Jesus’ death was not an afterthought or accident but a direct plan of God. Let this thought excite you – God had a Lamb before he had a man. Have fruitful day SHALOM: God’s all encompassing blessings to you
