THOUGHT FOR TODAY
“Jesus walks ahead of us into every challenge, so even when we feel bewildered or afraid, we can trust His purpose and His plan.”
MARK 10:32, ESV
“They were on the road, going up to Jerusalem, and Jesus was walking ahead of them. And they were amazed, and those who followed were afraid. And taking the twelve again, he began to tell them what was to happen to him.”

Devotional Message:
1.Jesus Walks Ahead of us.
Notice that Jesus is out front. He doesn’t push His disciples toward danger; He leads the way. Whatever lies ahead in your life, whether trials, uncertainties, or difficult choices, remember this—Jesus never sends you where He has not gone before you. He is always the Shepherd who goes ahead of His sheep.
2. Following Often Involves Amazement and Fear
The disciples were amazed by His courage but also afraid of what it meant for them. Following Jesus is not always easy. There will be moments when His calling feels bigger than our strength. It’s okay to feel both wonder and fear—as long as we keep walking behind Him.
3. He Reveals His Plan
Jesus took time to explain what was coming. Even though the disciples didn’t grasp it fully, He wanted them to know that none of this was by accident. Likewise, when we lean into His Word, we are reminded that God’s plans are intentional, purposeful, and good—even when we don’t see the full picture.

Reflection:
Where in your life are you feeling both amazement and fear about following Jesus? Are you willing to trust Him as He walks ahead of you into the unknown?
⸻
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for going ahead of me. When I feel both amazed and afraid, remind me that You are leading with purpose. Give me courage to keep walking behind You, trusting that the road You take me on is for my good and Your glory.
Amen.
SHALOM: God’s all encompassing blessings to you.
