💭Thought for Today:
When distress comes, let prayer be your first step and trust that God is already at work with the answer.

PSALM 120:1 (NIV)
“I call on the Lord in my distress, and he answers me.”

Devotional Thought:
We all face seasons of distress and moments when the weight of life feels too heavy, when words fail us, or when we feel surrounded by trouble. The psalmist reminds us of a powerful truth: in those very moments, we can call on the Lord.
The comfort here is not only that God hears us, but that He answers us. His response may come as peace in our hearts, wisdom for our steps, or strength to endure. No cry is too small, and no situation is beyond His reach.
This verse challenges us to make prayer our first response, not our last resort. The God who answered the psalmist is the same God who listens to you today. He is near, attentive, and faithful to respond.
Reflection Question:
In times of distress, what is your first reaction – panic, self-reliance, or prayer?
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for being a God who hears and answers. In my times of distress, remind me to call on You first. Help me to rest in Your presence and trust in Your response. Fill me with peace as I place my burdens in Your hands. Amen.
SHALOM: God’s all encompassing blessings to you.
