The Waiting Gaze

Scripture (AMP): Psalm 123:2

“Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their master, and as the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress, so our eyes look to the Lord our God, until He is gracious and favorable toward us.” —

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:

Keep your eyes on God, not on circumstances—His hand is never late, never weak, and never empty.

Devotion:

This verse calls us to a posture of steady, trusting dependence. Just as servants relied on their master’s hand for direction and provision, we must look to God’s hand for mercy and favor. Waiting on Him is not wasted time—it is faith in action.

Gold Nuggets:

•God’s hand represents His power, provision, and protection.
•Waiting on the Lord builds trust and shapes our character.
•God’s mercy always comes in the right timing.

PRAYER:

Lord, help me to keep my eyes on You, trusting Your hand for guidance, provision, and mercy. Amen.
SHALOM : God’s all encompassing blessings to you.
