2 COR 3:18 AMP
“And we all, with unveiled face, continually seeing as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are progressively being transformed into His image from [one degree of] glory to [even more] glory, which comes from the Lord, [who is] the Spirit.”
GOLD NUGGETS
May the Lord bless you and grant you a joyous weekend. Our Lord is the true source of joy and he bestows it on us abundantly. Christian believers are “in process” looking more like Christ all the time, but that journey into becoming like him wouldn’t be complete until after our earthly existence. “Beholding as in a mirror” connotes “reflecting” as well “looking into.” As we behold the glory of the Lord, we are continually transformed into the same image by his Spirit. We then, with ever-increasing glory, reflect what we behold. The more we rest, reflect and gaze on the beauty of our Lord, the more his blessings flow into us. In the light of his love, we are gradually transformed from glory to glory. It is through spending time with him that we’ll become “fully capable of comprehending with all the saints (God’s people) the width and length and height and depth of His love [fully experiencing that amazing, endless love] (Ephesians 3:18 AMP).” The relationship he offers us may seem too good to be true.
He pours his very life into us. We just have to receive him. In a world epitomised by working and taking, the admonition to rest and receive seems too easy. As we trust him more and more, we are able to receive him and his blessings abundantly. Be blessed and highly favoured. SHALOM: God’s all encompassing blessings to you
