God made the Adam and Eve perfect in every way and put them in a beautiful garden. They trusted Him for everything they needed and not once did He let them down.
Unfortunately, they yielded to the deception of the snake (Satan). Their downfall, plunged the whole human race into chaos. As a result of the “Fall” , life is beset with problems, especially as far as trust is concerned. We can’t wholly rely on nature. We can’t rely entirely on family or friends. Neither can we trust any human institution.
Sin has struck so deeply into human relationships. For a variety of reasons people may let us down. However, we must God? We must not allow the failures of trust we may experience on the human level to affect our view of God. You can put your trust in God without fear of ever being let down. The apostle Peter puts it like this: “the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame” (1 Peter 26). Drop your anchor into the depths of this reassuring and encouraging revelation. Our God is absolutely trustworthy and dependable. Trust Him, “lean not on your own understanding”. SHALOM – Peace: God’s all encompassing blessings to you.
