“Offer to God the sacrifice of thanksgiving And pay your vows to the Most High; Call on Me in the day of trouble; I will rescue you, and you shall honor and glorify Me.””

Be thankful to God always. As you give God the sacrifice of thanksgiving, regardless of your feelings, his Spirit is able to work more freely within you. This produces more thankfulness and more freedom, until you are overflowing with gratitude. A ritualistic sacrifice is of no value unless it depicts genuine thanksgiving to God and dependence on him. True Christianity is responding, thankfully for his grace, mercy, goodness, faithfulness etc. Moreover, true Christianity is obediently fulfilling your covenant vow. It is prayerfully relying on him to prove he is sufficient for every trouble. Again, it is worshipfully giving God the honour that is due him.
He (God) showers his blessings on us daily, but sometimes we don’t perceive them. When our minds are stuck on a negative focus, we see neither him nor his gifts.
Praise, thanksgiving and honour to God must be a lifestyle of a Christian. “Let us [always] come before His presence with a song of thanksgiving; Let us shout joyfully to Him with songs (Psalms 95:2 AMP). ”He is the God of our salvation (Habakuk 3:18).
