Bishop Matthew Addae-Mensah
Bishop Matthew Addae-Mensah is the founder and Presiding Bishop of Gospel Light International Church.
After his Theological Studies at the All Nation For Christ Bible Institute, Benin City, Nigeria (ANFCBI) in 1983, he was among the few Ghanaians who were offered opportunity by the late Archbishop Benson Idahosa, a colossus of faith, a man approved of God by miracles, signs and wonders to work in his Church, Church of God Mission International (CGMI).
Gospel Light International Church which he founded with his wife Lady Bishop Naana Addae-Mensah from its humble beginnings as a fellowship from the Achimota Forest, Accra has now been watered by the Holy Spirit into a sprawling network of Churches strewn across the several Regions of Ghana.
The Church also operates in countries such as Nigeria, Togo, Ivory Coast, Cameroun, Germany, United Kingdom and the USA. A MAN WITH EXTRAORDINARY FAITH AFFIRMED BY A MINISTRY OF MIRACLES, SIGNS AND WONDERS Bishop Addae-Mensah the fore-runner of the Deliverance Ministry in Ghana operates in all the five ministry gifts: apostolic, prophetic, evangelistic, pastoral and teaching.
Multitalented Addae-Mensah is an author of the bestselling books; What is Written is written, Power of Your Offering, Walking in the Power of God, God of Miracles, Signs & Wonders, Supernatural Faith to Raise the Dead, Creative Power of the Word, Faith For Your Finances, Audacity of Faith, The Mystery Of Faith, Exploits of Faith, The Laws of Faith.
A frequent international conference speaker, he is also a novelist, historian, playwright and composer and producer of gospel music with several recorded gospel albums credited to him. He is a man who operates in the gift of faith, and his passion is to teach Christians to walk in the fullness of the power of God and to exercise their faith at all times. His ministry is awash with incredible testimonies of healings, miracles, signs and wonders of the Spirit of God including a record number of persons being raised from the dead back to life.
Again, patients who fell into coma gained consciousness as they were healed by God through his prayers. Thousands of couples who were facing various kinds of fertility challenges have been blessed with children when he prayed with them. Failing businesses have also been revived through his teachings. Unassuming Addae-Mensah has been interviewed by international media houses like the CNN and the BBC on the subject of the supernatural He has also been nominated for the US Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award by the White House.
Educational Background
After graduating from the Tarkwa School of Mines as a Mechanical Engineering Technician, with distinction in City and Guilds Certificate, he abandoned his dream of becoming an aeronautical engineer as the Holy Spirit set him on his true pathway of life when he obtained a scholarship from Archbishop Benson Idahosa’s ANFCBI, Benin City to pursue a course in Theological Studies.
He holds Master’s Degree in Christian Ministry. Matthew is the founder of Gospel-Light Bible College which has trained over a thousand young men and women who are in active ministry. He is married to Naana. They have four children: Karen, Alysia, Matthew Jr, and Paul and a grandson Ori.
